This year we are travelling to Tignes!

Abersnow is the heart of snow sports at Aberystwyth University, bringing together students who share a passion for skiing, snowboarding, and adventure. As the face of snow sports on campus, they are dedicated to making the slopes accessible, exciting, and welcoming for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned rider or gearing up for the very first time. Weekly slope sessions provide the perfect opportunity to learn, improve technique, and connect with like minded people in a fun, supportive environment. Beyond the local sessions, they take their love for the mountains further with their annual trip to the Alps, where students experience world-class skiing and snowboarding runs, unforgettable après culture, and memories that last a lifetime. Abersnow is more than just a club it’s a community that thrives on energy, inclusivity, and a shared love of the mountains.

What is student snowsports?

As the Abersnow Committee for 2025/26, we are committed to building on the fantastic work of previous years and continuing to grow our club both on and off campus. This year, our focus is on keeping Abersnow welcoming and inclusive, with slope sessions and socials open to all students, no matter their background or experience. Beyond campus, we’re proud to support our community through charity work, including our annual fundraiser for Mind Cymru, where we more than exceeded our target last year and aim to achieve even more this time around. With another exciting year ahead, we’re determined to keep pushing our society forward, creating unforgettable experiences on and off the slopes, and making Abersnow a place where every student can feel a place of belonging. We can’t wait to see what the year brings!
