Extra Information:
Medical Eligibility and Pre-existing Medical Conditions
TIGON Travel Insurance does not include cover for pre-existing medical conditions. To ensure that you are provided with the appropriate cover, these must be declared prior to your departure from the UK.
We define a pre-existing condition to be:
Any medical conditions for which you have been prescribed medication or for which you have received, or are waiting to receive treatment (including surgery, tests, or investigations) within the last 12 months.
Or any of the following medical conditions for which you have suffered from or received medical advice, treatment (including surgery, tests, invesitgations by your doctor/consultant/specialist) or prescribed drugs or medication in the last five years:
If you require cover for your pre-existing conditions, you must declare these, although an increased premium will be required. To declare your pre-existing medical condition please contact ROCK insurance services on 01293 855 970 after you have purchased your policy. You will need to provide your policy number, and any additional increased premium will need to be paid directly to ROCK insurance services, not NUCO Travel.
Please note that if you do have a pre-exisiting medical condition, you would be covered under the policy for everything else that does not directly link to the condition.
Insurance Excess
We are offering you the option of three different policies to choose from and these provide varying levels of cover each with its own excess.
The excess amount for our policies is as follows:
Bronze : £175.00
Silver : £150.00
Gold : £100.00
It is important to note that not all sections of the policies have the same excess, we have linked the Policy Wording for each policy below. Here you can see the table of benefits which details the maximum amount you can claim per section and what the *excess for this type of claim will be.
Bronze Plus Policy Wording
Silver Plus Policy Wording
Gold Plus Policy Wording
*All insurance policies have an excess, this is the amount you have to pay towards the overall cost of an insurance claim. This is what is detailed under excess on the table of benefits. The insurance provider will then contribute the rest – up to the limit detailed under maximum on the table of benefits.
Changing your Insurance
It is a condition of your booking that you have appropriate travel insurance in place.
With our policies, there is a 14 day cooling off period as standard. The 14 days starts from the date you first add a policy to your NUCO booking, or from the date of receiving your insurance documents, whichever is later. Within the 14 day cooling-off period, you are able to upgrade and cancel the policy you have purchased.
To cancel your insurance policy you will be required to submit alternative insurance details via this link. Once received our team will check you are inside the cooling-off period and update your booking with your alternative insurance details within 48 hours. If you choose to cancel your policy and you are outside the 14 days, you will be provided with a 65% refund if cancelled before your trip starts, provided you have not travelled, made a claim, or intend to make a claim.
How to make a claim
If you are in the unfortunate situation that you have to use your insurance, for all non medical emergency cases, you can start a claim by contacting AXA on 0204 5177895 and quote that you have a Tigon Travel Insurance. Your policy number is your NUCO booking ref with the prefix "ANU-", so if for example your NUCO booking ref was "NUCO-123456A" your travel insurance policy number would be "ANU-NUCO-123456A".
For all emergency medical cases, we suggest calling the AXA emergency assistance team as soon as possible on 0204 5177895 stating your policy number.
