Staying at Hameau du Kashmir puts you at the foot of the Plein Sud piste, so getting out on the mountain couldn’t be easier. It’s a ski-in/ski-out residence too, so you can glide straight back to base at the end of the day. Whether cruising local blues or heading to Méribel and Courchevel, the Three Valleys network gives you over 600km of skiing to explore.
For first-timers and families, there are beginner-friendly slopes nearby. Intermediates and confident skiers will love the vast terrain and high-speed links across the valleys. There’s also excellent off-piste and freeride potential for those searching for powder days and big descents.
The residence has spacious hotel-style suites and larger self-catering apartments, all with a fresh, cosy feel. Think deep colours, warm wood, and subtle nods to Himalayan design. Most suites sleep between two and six people, with options for families or groups up to eight in the largest apartments. You’re also right on the edge of the resort centre, so popping out to the shops, grabbing a bite, or heading out for après is no hassle. Val Thorens has everything from relaxed wine bars to bigger-name venues for those who want to dance into the early hours. But if your pace is a bit more fondue-and-bed, you’re sorted too.
The residence includes towels, bed linen, and end-of-stay cleaning (excluding the kitchen). If you want to level up the comfort, there are extras available, like bed-making or mid-week cleaning. Underground parking is available (pre-booking is essential), and pets are welcome for a small fee, so you can bring the dog along too!
