Much to celebrate this Winter for the experts in Snow holidays, the NUCO Travel group.
This year, the home to all things snow, observe a special landmark; 10 years of doing what they love. And if that wasn’t enough to cheer about, they also raise a HUGE glass to the group’s iconic family brand; Erna Low who turns 90!

The Story
After seeing a gap in the market when it came to pioneering affordable and most importantly, well delivered large winter group holidays, NUCO was founded in 2012. With nothing but a basement, lots of Yorkshire Gold, a few worried and watchful competitor eyes and an office dog, 4 ambitious friends rapidly grew the business to its market leading position within a year.
Whilst championing first and foremost customer trust, sustainability initiatives and ambitious snow experiences, the humans behind the brand have worked hard to pull together one of the strongest (and passionate) teams in the travel space. NUCO stands for Not Under Corporate Ownership to signify its independent roots and belief that you can be large scale yet retain the importance of personal customer service and attention to detail at all times.
NUCO promises to retain their personality regardless of success.
Initially establishing themselves as a student tour operator, the NUCO team quickly went on to expand their portfolio, offering something for everyone who wants to play in the mountains (and not stop the snow-dotted journey once their university degree ends).
Acquiring Erna Low in 2019 was the icing on the cake and added the perfect final touch to the lifecycle of snow. It’s not everyday a 10 year old company acquires a 90 year old one, so they often have to confirm they’ve got it the right way round.
