Ville De l’Amour (City of Love), La Ville-Lumiere (The City of Lights), Ille De France (City of France). The French capital has plenty of different names which describe it very well, however most of us around the world know it simply as Paris!
This City in North East France is a mecca for everything that you could look for in a city break destination. Famous Monuments, Architecture, Food, Drink, Exhibitions, Parties and small areas of tranquil oasis, all add up to make this destination a must visit spot. Whether you’re looking to see the City from the top of the Eiffel Tower, Eat and drink French favourites around the Montmartre, Shop until you drop in the famous Galleries Lafayette department store, Paris has something for everyone. We even offer a daytrip to Disneyland!
Paris is a big favourite here at NUCO Urban and we have plenty of experience of the city. From French speaking staff to staff who have lived in this amazing city, we have plenty of local knowledge to ensure that your group makes the most of their Parisian adventure.
Charlie is located in the 12th arr (Bercy). This is a fairly new venue that offers cheap drinks and live bands in their basement entertainment space. The bar is small, but very, very cool. The French equivalent of a Shorditch watering hole (but cheaper!). The bar is off the tourist trail, so a great area to explore like a local too.
Eden Park Pub
Named after the famous New Zealand All Blacks Rugby stadium and clothing brand, Eden Park is a cosy, chic French pub. Located in the 6th arr (Saint Germain), Eden Park is the perfect place to head for an afternoon beer or glass of wine. The area is just south of the river and has an old town feel. St Germain is also the place to watch sport in the City. You will be welcomed into Eden Park with open arms by the French locals and treated to their wonderful match day hospitality and atmosphere. An extra special place to be during the Six Nations rugby tournament in February and March.
Pllek is situated in Amsterdam-Noord. This waterfront bar is a stripped back, industrial looking establishment, created from steel, glass and metal shipping containers. Pllek is actually a great piece of uber modern architecture and the location is fantastic. Take a drink on the huge beachfront terrace on a sunny day. Yes, we said beach front. The bar is right on the water and makes a fantastic spot to relax and socialise throughout a sunny afternoon. So go ahead, take the ferry or tram over the bridge and explore!
Foyer De La Madeline
You will never eat in a restaurant like this again! That is a big call, but 'Foyer de la Madeline' can be found in the crypts underneath l’église de la Madeleine. There is no eeriness to the venue though, it is welcoming, bright and beautiful. Possibly the best value for money in the City, Foyer de la Madeline, offers traditional French cuisine and is a huge hit with Parisian foodies. The best part about eating here is not the food, wine or location. All profits are used by the church to help the impoverished and homeless around Paris. Great cause, delicious food and warm atmosphere!
Frenchie to go
This is one of our favourite places in the whole of Paris.Located in the 18th arrr (Montmatre), 'Frenchie to go' is the newest establishment by superstar, French chef Gregory Marchand. It offers fresh pastries, cakes and some of the best lunchtime sandwiches in Paris. The meat is cooked, cured or smoked in house, the veg is all fresh and the bread home baked. Our choice is the Rueben, pastrami (Cured and spiced in house), red coleslaw, pickles and mustard on home baked sourdough bread. The perfect lunch to re energise the body for an afternoons exploration!
Head to the Montmatre district and you will find hundreds of places to eat and drink. Soul Kitchen is one that stood out to us. 3 lovely French ladies run the restaurant and the kitchen. They create fresh dishes every day with organic, local produce. The prices are fantastic and the food tastes great. The menu changes with the seasons and is based on what they can get their hands on. We loved the concept.
As far as were concerned, there is no better nightspot on a spring evening than Wanderlust! A state of the art club, restaurant open until the early hours, numerous bars and a huge outdoor terrace on the banks of the Seine in the 13th arr (Bibliotheque de France). Wanderlust is a great venue for a night out. When the weather is good, the party is started outside and not finished until 6 am, when the decks stop spinning (that's if you don't go to the after party . . ). An awesome place to go to for a party and enjoy a totally different night club experience to those offered at home!
La Machine Du Moulin Rouge
You don't get many nightclubs in such legendary spots. La Machine is located in the old boiler rooms of the world famous Moulin Rouge. Industrial pipes and ducting from this still form part of the interior decor. The rest of the club is decorated like a fantasy, Alice in Wonderland style venue. It looks amazing and feels like your stepping into a fictional world. Located in the Montmatre, next door to its world renowned neighbour, La Machine Du Moulin Rouge is a great place to get away from reality and let your imagination run away with you.
Parent Club of our very good freinds 'Doudoune' in Val D'isere France. Queen is the ultimate in loud, in your face and FUN! You will be welcomed by colour, super friendly hosts and an awesome atmosphere. Located on the Champ Elysees, right in the heart of Paris, you cant get a much more central spot. One of the most famous clubs in Paris, Queen will not disappoint.
Located in the 10th arr (Republique), right in the centre of Paris, the brand new Generator hostel has just been unwrapped. Generator Paris opened its doors in February 2015 and we can only describe it as beautiful! Modern and quirky design, has given this place an amazing look and feel, one that is usually reserved for much higher priced accommodation. The interior is fresh and colourful and the Generator really stands out from the rest of Paris's Hostel accommodation. Gare du Nord is located just 15 minutes walk away and numerous metro stations are located less than 5 minutes away. This is the perfect base from which to explore Paris.
Paris Bar Crawl
Once the darkness takes over, Bastille (5th arr) comes alive. The narrow streets are bustling with people enjoying a few drinks and a meal out. The NUCO URBAN bar crawl takes in these windey streets and eclectic mix of bars to show you a great authentically Parisian night out! The tour includes visits to 4 bars, all very different, each with something unique to offer. After you have taken your free drink in each establishment (plus a few more we imagine), we arrive at a nightclub to continue the party into the night. Entry and cloakroom at the nightclub are included in the bar crawl price. Take care though, we love to have fun, but NUCO Urban definitely promotes drinking responsibly. Remember, there is lots more exploring to be done!
There is no feeling like nostalgia and being transported back to your childhood. Adrenaline fueled rides, life size Disney characters and a loss of grown up inhibitions makes this place truly as magical as they brand it! Disneyland has something to offer eveyone, no matter how grown up an macho you are. We dare you to give it a try and not have fun! Here at NUCO Urban, we couldn't resist the option to offer this to you for a great price. *Transport to and from the park and your ticket are packaged together for you to purchase.
