Val d'Isère counts among one of the largest ski resorts in Europe, forming part of the stunning Tignes-Val d'Isere ski area with neighbouring Tignes, sitting in the Tarentaise Valley of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. With over 300 kilometres of pistes and more than 100 interconnecting lifts across the resort, there is a lot of ground to cover and more than enough room to explore..

Types of Ski Pass in Val d'isere

Val d'Isere has a varying selection of ski pass types; based on different criteria such as the age of the pass owner and what area of the L’Espace Killy they intend to cover. There are two types of Val d'Isere lift pass prices available. The less expensive Val d'Isere Valley lift pass gives access only to the Val d'Isere area while the Tignes-Val d’Isere pass covers the entire Tignes-Val d’Isere ski area, granting access to the entire 300 kilometres across both resorts and 153 runs. If you intend to visit for at least 6 days, the full access pass is highly recommended for a truly rounded experience of the full area.
Val d'Isere Family ski passes
Family pass discounts are exclusive to the Tignes-Val d'Isere lift pass. Family of 4 minimum. 2 adults between 22-74. Maximum of 3 children between 5-17 years old. No fewer than 6 day pass.
Val d'Isere Group ski passes
If you intend to visit Val d'Isere in a group of over 20 people, there are special rates available for a discounted Val d'Isere lift pass. Contact Ernalow directly for quotes.
Val d'Isere Disabled Ski passes
There are disabled discounts and ski passes for Val d'Isere Valleys & Tignes-Val d'Isere lift pass. Disabled passes are usually only available at the ski offices and a certificate of disability may be required.
Val d'Isere Single and Half day passes
Single and half-day passes are available for purchase at Val d'Isere ski resort. The Ski Passes are available from 4 hours to up to 15 days. Prices vary for children and adults.
Val d'Isere Free Ski Passes
There are discounts for children below 5 and adults over 75. Proof of age may be required before purchase. There are also 2 ski lifts ( Village and Savonnette lifts) which are completely free for beginners on the nursery slopes.
Val d'Isere Multi-day passes
Multiple days passes range between 2-15 days on Val d'Isere Ski resort for both Tignes Valley and Val d'Isere. The rates are dependent on the age channel of purchase. Proof of age may be required.
Subscription based Ski Pass
Val d’lsere operates an annual subscription pass known as Ski à la Carte where you are charged based on how much you ski. There are also discounts of either 10% and 15% for adults.
Where Can I Buy A Val d'Isere Lift Pass?
You can buy your ski passes from any of the four ski pass offices across the Val d’Isere and Tignes area, when you arrive.

The most convenient location may likely be the ski office just beneath the Olympique Bubble ( next to the Solaise Chairlift) You can also purchase a ski pass online with us here. Once you have selected your ski accommodation, you will have the option to add ski passes for everyone in your family or party.


How Ski Passes Work in Val d'Isere?
The ski passes in Val d'Isere work similarly to most other resorts in Europe.
The passes are electronically credited onto a smart card which is used to operate the turnstile and lift barriers. It is hands free activated which means it can be activated remotely at the lift turnstiles without the holders needing to always present it. It can be kept in a front pocket or ski jacket sleeve-pocket to make it easier to swipe through the turnstiles.

What About Pedestrian Ski Passes in Val d'Isere?
Not interested in skiing and only just visiting Val d'Isere for the sights and some snowy trotting through the mountains?
No problem! Pedestrians get reduced prices on some of the lifts. The pedestrian passes are available for single and return trips for single day to 6 day lengths of usage. Tickets can be purchased at ski offices on the resort.
